Who can come?

Any kids in grades 1-6 can be registered. Parents are encouraged to come hangout and watch!

Why Register?

Registering beforehand helps us get teams together, know the number of coaches we need for each team, and communicate any changes to you. But each night we will also ask you to check-in your kids. We do this because the safety of your kids is important to us! We want to have record of who we are responsible for, so that we can assume responsibility for them.

Can a Church really teach my kids to play soccer?

Yes! As you can see by the photo above we have many volunteers to help put this on — most of whom are people from our church! For the older teams we bring in coaches to help support us. For the last number of years we have brought in soccer coaches from Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, who select a few of their players to come down and lead the different teams. So far we have received positive feedback from parents that their kids have come away with good interactions and solid training.

Is there a gospel message?

Each night we have a short devotional targeted towards the kids to teach them the basics of the gospel (the “good news”) message. This provides the opportunity for kids to physically rest while having a snack and encourages them to not only train their body towards new things, but to train their minds towards unity with Jesus Christ who came so that they may be reconciled to God and freed from the bondage of sin and death.
